Business Letter Format

Agenda:

  • Review business letter
  • Draft a three-paragraph letter to a local politician about racial profiling.
    • Requirements:
      • You must include all parts of the business letter reviewed in the powerpoint.
        • You also have all of this information in a handout.
      • Your spacing needs to be correct.
      • You need to take a stance on racial profiling.  You can use the pros and cons from the handouts.  However, everything should be your own words/your own opinion on the stance.
      • We are not actually sending the letters.  However, you should look up information for an actual politician.  Letter-writing campaigns about important and hotly debated issues like these are common.  You may find yourself writing one some day and needing to look up exactly this information.  A Google search likely will give you the results that you are looking for.

  • Drafts due tomorrow for critical lens
